12/31/38 Emmetsburg, Ia. Dear Nile, I happened to be staying with Jimmy over the holidays, and since his sentiments are mine concerning football and Iowa's hopes, I just would like to add my sentiments. I was counting very strongly on playing under Capt. Kinnick, but I guess we can make it just as pleasant and profitable if I just play with Nile Kinnick. Well, Nile, I am being taken out to supper tonight, and I'm behind schedule. So long, see you Tuesday. Your friend, Al Couppie
