I never knew the worth of the blessings of home until I have been deprived of them - Last night there was no allarm but all was quiet, and the Reg got a good nights rest - To tell the truth, I am thoroughly disgusted with war. Oh that the rebels would consult their own interest and desist from trying to overthrow our government. While I am writing some of the boys of Co. K are singing that good old hymn - "Am I a soldier of the Cross" &C It sound so good. Like Home
