the outpost yesterday we received the Hawk Eye for the seventh and eighth of this month - This is our one middle day of service being the 50th.- My health is much better this morning than it has been for some time - hope it will continue to improve. All nature looks lively this morning - Who can love the God of the universe enough? this would be a pleasant place to live if it were not so hot in the summer Oh if this cruel war were over how happy our country might be
