Febuary 15st, 1863 My dear father and mother and sister i take my pen in to hand to lat you now that i am not varre well as i outo to be i have bad diare and cant git rad of it that is a hard thing i haf to run all the time i am going try to git a discharge if i can but i dont now wither i can git it or not the water is bad here for i got ure latter yesterday so that give me satafation that you are oll well thare is grat maney sick in our regement we got por plasis to stay in gest a smal cloth tents to [stke?] in then ure cat[?]
