June The 20, 1863 My dear sister I sat to lat you now that i am well at present and i hope that you are in joinring the sam blaing i got youre latter yesterday and that give me satasfaction that you was all well i was glad to git a rose from iowa thar is plenty here but we cant gitthem we hafto stay in our camp oll the time ore go in the rifle pits our compiny went in the rifle pits to day the canens open on the rabels this morning and thar is ofel loud nose rond our camp to day it makes avreting trimble in the camp but we got youse to it it dont jare us much i bet if
