Augoust 6, 1863 My dear father and mother and sister i sat don to lat you now that I am well and i hope that these fue line will find you the same i got youre latter that was rote the 27 of july i was glad to here from you that you was don harvesting i ges you are don staking by this time then i ges you are going to cot hay that will be nother hard job for you i wod like to be thar to halp you but it to far to be toking to halp you we are Campt 17 mils east of vicksburg
