WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6, 1864. Manda came at six & left with Mrs. N- at Seven. She was in good spirits and hopes to enjoy her visit to Dixie. THURSDAY 7 Left Keokuk on the morning train. Rode in the hack all after noon, Home in time to have tea with the loved ones. Missed Manda.s cheerful vioce. FRIDAY 8 Rained all day company prevented me from enjoying home as much as I had hoped to.
