MONDAY, MAY 30, 1864. Day spent in traveling in company with Mrs D.B.C. Miss H.S.K, & best of all Mrs Wittenmeyer Cheerful company & pleasant time generally. TUESDAY 31 Rode all last night Arrived In Des Moines at 9. this A M. Many things reminded me of last winter. Prospect good for Convention. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1 Orphans Home Convention doing well. Many friends interested in the cause. Eve Mrs Ds address. Met Miss M at the festival.
