MONDAY, AUGUST 1, 1864. A message from Manda saying she was sick and needed me. Started to see her with Mrs R - met her coming to see us. TUESDAY 2 Moved with all my "affars" to No 14. Like it much better than I hoped to. Reading Pickwick Papers. Sorry to leave No. 1, WEDNESDAY 3 Spent some of the day reading to Manda. but most of it in the Kitchen work. Dr Bird & Charlie P- called on us. Pleasant.
