SUNDAY, AUGUST 28, 1864. Left N- in company with Mrs. W-, Dr S- and enjoyed the trip very much. A Sabbath glory seemed over all the south. This MONDAY 29 morning had my first view of Lookout Mountain & Chattanooga. Visited the scenes Manda had enjoyed so much TUESDAY 30 in the spring, and drank in the beauty of nature in her loftier moods. Met my old friend Julia Stanley.
