SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 1864. On the Mt again today with Mrs. W- Dr B- & J- Col Mc- Capt R- &c. The most romantic day I eve spent, SUNDAY 4 Came down from the mountains this morning. Met Dr S- on the way. Called at Field Hospital. A good Sabbath day. MONDAY 5 Wrote all day long very tired. No prospect of getting to N- Atlanta really taken and much more good news to be greatful.
