FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1864. In Atlanta! How strange it seems! Marks of "wars desolation" on every thing. Met several very interesting wounded officers. SATURDAY 10 Called with Mrs. W- on Genl' L-. My heart never ached more for any one than for her during the interview. Lieut Hope accompanied ua to Marietta. SUNDAY 11 Called on Dr. Turner, Carrie, and Miss T- Dined with Lieut Hope. After noon saw Mrs' B & H Gods angels on the earth, S- gone!!
