WEDNESDAY, NOBEMBER 2, 1864. Mrs Schumer came to see us. Read to Hugh for some time. Feel that something is being done when I read to, or talk with a soldier. , THURSDAY 3 Spent almost all the day distributing grapes to the soldiers. Many of the poor fellows were profuse in their thanks. S - gone. FRIDAY 4 Evening all alone reading "In Memoriam". Felt an unusual spirit of prayer
