about 22 miles The RR from Kingston down has been most effectively destroyed by our men The splendid Bridge across the river here was burned. 15 Start for Atlanta and reach it at 10 AM, await orders and at 12 1/2 move through town & camp 1 mile east on the Augusta road Somebody had fired the town in several places without orders and as we passed through the streets we almost suffocated Many shells exploded rendering it quite (Vertically, from bottom left:-) 8 miles to-day A large reward offered for the Incendiary
