Some of the Nurses are glad to See a man Die as it Relieves them from Labor Some about this Building will have the priviledge Soon of Joining there Regiments. Horrid to hear those that are wounded - some with Limbs amputated making Great complaint because the Distress of the Dying man Disturbs them: prevents there Sleeping for an hour: Last night 2 men made Great Complaint because I ordered one man Down from the gallery Laboring under Typhoid Fever; Delirious & was afraid He would Jump out of the window or throw Himself over the Breast work; upon those below - the most consolation they Recd. was they could walk up stairs if they chose: one consolation is about 1/4th only are of the class above alluded to.
