Sheffield Oct. 30 1862 Dear Father:- We are having splendid times here now; Uncle Edward brought Aunt Sarah, and Cousin Eddie Holmes Monday they are going to stay till Saturday, and then are going to Springfield and from thence to Meadville via Conneautville. Uncle Arba is coming out after a while to make a visit, and take Aunt home. Uncle Edward says, if you want any thing done, that he can do, he willingly do it. What is it best to do about redeeming that [laand]. My work is nearly done, the Corn is husked, there was about 65 bush. that first husked is dry enough to grind. This after noon I dug potatoes will finish to morrow there will be from 21 to 24 bush. I can get 2 bush. wheat of Housel
